Shinsuke Nakamura made his long awaited in-ring debut, on Sky Sports Box Office, at WWE Backlash.
The Japanese superstar squared off against Dolph Ziggler, much to the delight of WWE fans.
Nakamura was a sensation in NXT and now brings his so-called 'strong style' to the big league with supporters eager to see what he can do at the highest level.
His entrance alone sent pulses racing in front of an always rowdy Chicago crowd at the Allstate Arena.
Randy Orton put his WWE Championship on the line against Jinder Mahal.
Mahal has been in the form of his life and appeared to have the psychological edge after weeks of sneak attacks on the 13-time champion.
One match guaranteed to get the supporters excited was the battle between Kevin Owens and AJ Styles for the U.S. Championship.
The pair have been involved in some of the best matches in WWE over the last 18 months and this coming together was very special indeed.
Other matches included a six-woman tag match with Carmella, Natalya and Tamina on one side, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Naomi are their opposition.
Sami Zayn and Baron Corbin went toe-to-toe, while the Smackdown Tag Team Championships are on the line as The Usos defended against Breezango.
