Roman Reigns almost blew the roof off the O2 Arena as he surprised WWE fans to get a modicum of revenge on rival Braun Strowman.

Reigns' music shocked Strowman, who was picking apart Kalisto in the ring when Roman attacked.

A flurry of 'superman punches' knocked Strowman off his feet before Reigns attacked the right arm of Strowman, which was in a sling following the pair's brutal match at WWE Payback.

Reigns slammed the injured arm into a ring post before smashing it with a chair. Strowman had to retreat, clearly in pain from the shock attack.

The battle for the Intercontinental Championship got a lot more heated after a night that saw No 1 contender The Miz and title-holder Dean Ambrose named co-general managers.

In Kurt Angle's absence, Ambrose put Miz in a match against Finn Balor, one that he'd lose at the second attempt after Ambrose demanded the match restarted.

The Miz would get his payback by hitting Ambrose with the Intercontinental title, allowing Bray Wyatt to pin him in RAW's main event.

Miz would then attack Ambrose to send a message ahead of their championship showdown next week.

Arguably the match of the night saw Seth Rollins and Samoa Joe resume their hostilities.

The pair clashed backstage before being put into a match, much to the delight of the 17,323 fans packed into the O2 in London.

Joe certainly made a statement. He was disqualified for throwing Rollins into the exposed turnbuckle before deciding to inflict more pain.

The man known as the 'Samoan Sumbmission Machine' put Seth into a 'Coquina Clutch', causing him to almost pass out.

Sheamus & Cesaro are the new No.1 Contenders for the Tag Team Championships after winning a 'tag team turmoil' match.

The pair, who have been showing off a new attitude recently, outlasted four other teams to get themselves a future shot at The Hardy Boyz' titles.

Women's Champion Alexa Bliss continues to annoy the Women's Division.

She picked up a win over Mickie James but was then chased out of the O2 by former belt holder Bayley.

WWE Smackdown also comes from London's O2 tonight and Sky Sports will be backstage beforehand.

You can see coverage on Sky Sports News and our digital platforms before the show itself is broadcast at 1am on Sky Sports 5HD.
