WWE Raw: Sasha Banks cements Clash of Champions spot
Chris Jericho attacks Sami Zayn; New Day beaten
Tuesday 13 September 2016 12:32, UK
Sasha Banks cemented her spot as No 1 contender to Raw's Women's Title on Monday night, while Chris Jericho laid out Sami Zayn.
Banks was announced as Charlotte's Clash of Champions challenger last week but Mick Foley forced her to defend that position during a Triple Threat Match with Bayley and Dana Brooke.
Raw General Manager Foley wanted to reward Bayley for pinning Charlotte in a non-title match and added Brooke into the bout after she stood up to and slapped the champion.
Bayley seemed poised to win Monday's encounter when she blasted Brooke with a Bayley-to-belly suplex, but Banks was able to rush the ring, roll up Bayley and seal victory via pinfall.
Banks will now meet Charlotte in a SummerSlam rematch at Clash of Champions on Sunday, September 25, on the same night Jericho goes on-on-one with Zayn.

The latter match was made official after Jericho became irate while welcoming Zayn to The Highlight Reel and walloped the Canadian with a mobile phone and Codebreaker.
Zayn had wound up the six-time world champion by suggesting he had traded years of success - Jericho is also a record nine-time Intercontinental Champion - to become Kevin Owens' lackey and that the reigning Universal Champion would soon leave him in the lurch.
