Seth Rollins retains world championship
Tuesday 27 October 2015 12:51, UK
Alberto Del Rio won the United States Championship at Hell in a Cell as Seth Rollins retained the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
Del Rio made a shock return to WWE to answer John Cena's United States Title Open Challenge having been absent from the company since the summer of 2014.
And the Mexican, who was flanked by new manager, Zeb Colter, won the belt after wriggling free of an Attitude Adjustment and cracking Cena with a Backstabber and a Superkick.
Rollins, meanwhile, bested Demon Kane with a Pedigree after previously powerbombing his opponent onto the announce desk and blasting him with myriad knees to the head.
Kane's defeat was doubly disappointing, as not only did he fail to win the world title for a third time but it also led to Corporate Kane being fired as The Authority's Director of Operations.
In Hell in a Cell's other title tussles, there were victories for Charlotte, Kevin Owens and The New Day.
Charlotte retained the Divas Champion by beating Nikki Bella, the daughter of Ric Flair recovering from an Alabama Slam on to the ring apron to submit her rival with the Figure Eight.
Kevin Owens blasted Ryback with a Pop-Up Powerbomb to keep hold of the Intercontinental Title, while Kofi Kingston pinned Bubba Ray Dudley as New Day retained the WWE Tag Team Championships.
