Bayern Munich interested in Tottenham striker Harry Kane; Spurs understood to have rejected verbal offer of £60m from Bundesliga champions; Kane has one year remaining on his contract

Bayern Munich want to sign Harry Kane, and have had a verbal offer of £60m plus add-ons rejected by Tottenham, according to Sky in Germany.
Tottenham's stance remains that any bid will be rejected.
Tottenham do not want to sell Kane - who has one year remaining on his contract - but Bayern and manager Thomas Tuchel appear to be ready to test the club's resolve.
Kane broke Tottenham's all-time goalscoring record in February with the winner against Manchester City.
It saw Kane move beyond Jimmy Greaves' tally of 266 goals for Spurs, which had stood since 1970.
The next target in Kane's sights is Alan Shearer's record Premier League haul of 260 goals.
After a fine individual campaign in which he scored 30 goals, despite the north London club finishing eighth and having three head coaches, the forward is now only 48 away from passing Shearer's tally.
Sky Sports News reporter Michael Bridge:
"One source had told me that offer [from Bayern] did go in, but Tottenham say no official bid has gone in, and their position remains the same: Kane is not for sale.
"Of course, bids can be done in various ways; official, written, phone conversations, verbal. It's difficult to prove one way or the other unless you are in the room. But the facts are that Bayern Munich would very much like Harry Kane.
"Things have certainly moved on from the earlier part of the window where we were reporting Manchester United were interested. Today is a significant development because we do know Bayern Munich are very interested in Harry Kane.
"Tottenham are not prepared to entertain any offers and, as far as Daniel Levy is concerned, Kane will be a Spurs player next season."
Jeremy Wilson, the Daily Telegraph's chief sports reporter, told Back Pages Tonight on Sky Sports News:
"I think this is completely different to 2021 when Kane had been persuaded a few years earlier to sign a six-year deal and it basically put all of the cards in Daniel Levy's pocket at that point because he still had three years remaining on his contract so Levy could resist that interest from Manchester City.
"This time there's only one year left and we know that when it comes down to it, Daniel Levy will always make the decision that's financially prudent for Tottenham. I just can't imagine him wanting Kane to run his contract down into next year.
"So although it might be a drawn out affair and lots of messages via the media and via agents in terms of the negotiation that will publicly play out, I'm sure Tottenham will be trying to get that figure closer to £100m. But I just think the reality of the contract situation means that it will be different this time.
"Unless there is some big change of heart with Kane and he sees his future at Tottenham and thinks there's a possibility of winning trophies there, it's hard to see how that's going to change for him in the next few weeks.
"I think this summer everything's there for Kane to get the move that he wants because it makes sense for Tottenham and Daniel Levy this time."
Andy Dunn, the Daily Mirror's chief sports writer, told Back Pages Tonight on Sky Sports News:
"Certainly a bid has been made. Spurs obviously couch it when they say no official bid - but we know there's a bid.
"This is the opening gambit in a scenario that will play out over the next month or two with Harry Kane.
"I was at Bayern Munich for the Manchester City game in the Champions League last season and I thought Kane would have an absolute field day with Bayern Munich.
"Imagine the likes of Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala creating chances for him. He [Kane] would run riot in the Bundesliga and he would win the trophies that he has obviously not yet won.
"Whether or not that would be his preferred destination I'm not sure. He's got a young family and he might not want to move abroad, and if he did then I would've thought Real Madrid would be the preferred destination with a bit more glamour and more chance of a Champions League trophy.
"However, I can't see that this Bayern interest won't spark some action here. We're told that Manchester United have somehow cooled their interest - I can't believe that it has. I now think this will make other clubs to think again, certainly for Manchester United because if they're not thinking of getting him then they should be.
"This is just the start of the Harry Kane scenario. The question is now: how much will Daniel Levy take for Kane because it's come to the stage now where Spurs have to say, 'If you're not going to sign a new contract, you've only got a year left, you turn 30 in four weeks' time, a business head has to come on and the money has to be taken'."
A new centre-back and an attacking midfielder are the next priorities for Tottenham after completing the signing of goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.
James Maddison is the top target for the attacking-midfield role with the 26-year-old set to have a medical at Tottenham on Wednesday as the Leicester City playmaker closes in on a £40m move to north London.
Bayer Leverkusen's Edmond Tapsoba and Wolfsburg's Micky van de Ven are two of the centre-backs they are interested in.
Sky Sports News has already reported that Fulham's Tosin Adarabioyo is also on the target list.
Tottenham want to sign at least one centre-back and how many they do will depend on outgoings.
Davinson Sanchez's future is particularly uncertain and Clement Lenglet - who made 26 appearances last season - has already returned to Barcelona following his loan spell.
Tapsoba - a Burkina Faso international - made more than 40 appearances for Bayer last season, including five in the Champions League.
Netherlands U21 international Van der Ven played 33 times for Wolfsburg last term and is left-footed.
Adarabioyo wants to leave Fulham and can play at both right and left centre-back.
