Aussie puts injury-hit season behind him to relish life at SW19
Former champion Lleyton Hewitt insists he is out to enjoy every minute at Wimbledon after an injury ravaged season.
A hip injury has hampered Hewitt this year, meaning the Australian - the 2002 winner - has arrived at the All England Club as the 20th seed.
And the 27-year-old, who faces Spain's Albert Montanes on Court Two on Wednesday, is just glad to be at SW19.
"With so many injuries, you just never know what's around the corner," he said.
"Two months ago there were probably quite a few doubts whether I would be able to play here at all. But it doesn't cross my mind.
"I'm thankful that I'm here this year and enjoying it."
Dangerous
Defending champion Roger Federer is also in action on Wednesday when he takes on the talented Swede Robin Soderling.
And the world No.1 knows he will face a tougher challenge after his first-round stroll against Dominik Hrbaty.
Federer said: "Robin is a dangerous player because on a particular day he could play top 10 without a problem.
"He's a dangerous player and I won't underestimate him, that's for sure."
