Nike has been forced to recall dresses to be used by female competitors at Wimbledon after complaints they were too short.
Some players wearing the 'Nike Premier Slam' design said the billowy dresses were flying up at the waistline, making them feel uncomfortable and leaving them struggling to cover up.
Players wearing the dress involved in the qualifying tournament in Roehampton had to make emergency adjustments, one wearing leggings underneath and another using a makeshift elastic belt.
Nike is due to dress more than 20 participants at Wimbledon where the dress code is strictly all-white.
Britain's Laura Robson is one of the players who received an e-mail from the company stating that alterations would need to be made to her dress.
Widely reported in the British press on Thursday, the e-mail read: "We need to make a small change to your dresses per Wimbledon rules. Could you please bring them by the Nike Wimbledon House."
The message added that it was "VERY important."
