Ivo Karlovic has become just the second player to hit 10,000 career aces.

The Croatian, known for his brutal serve, has reached the milestone to close in on compatriot Goran Ivanisevic's benchmark of 10,183.

Karlovic upset home favourite Milos Raonic 7-6 7-6 at the Montreal Masters on Tuesday, blasting 22 aces to take his career record to 10,004. The 36-year-old now has 1,009 aces in 2015 and admits he wants to overtake Ivanisevic's record.
