Nick Kyrgios insists he is "all about recovering and feeling the ball for the Aus Open" after winning in Brisbane at the weekend.
Kyrgios beat Ryan Harrison in the Brisbane International final on Sunday to clinch his maiden tour title on home soil, but the mercurial Australian has been carrying a niggling knee injury.
The 22-year-old beat top seed and world No 3 Grigor Dimitrov in the semi-finals and if he maintains form and motivation, he will be a major threat at the Australian Open, which starts next week.
Kyrgios, who became the second Australian to lift the trophy in the tournament's 10-year history after Lleyton Hewitt in 2014, will put his knee to the test on Wednesday when he is due to play alongside world No 1 Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Stan Wawrinka at the latest addition of the Tie Break Tens event in Melbourne.
"Even if I had lost the first round here, I would probably still feel good next week, going into next week," said Kyrgios.
