Andy Murray will play Jeremy Chardy as he continues the Rome Masters without his departed coach Amelie Mauresmo.
You can see Murray in third-round action on Thursday, live on Sky Sports 5 HD from 11am.
The British No 1 embarked on his campaign in the Italian capital directly after confirming that his two-year spell working with Mauresmo had ended and now finds Chardy in his way.
Murray owns a dominant 7-1 head-to-head record against the world No 32. Their most recent two matches were at last year's Rome Masters and French Open, and Murray won both.
Elsewhere, world No 1 Novak Djokovic continues the defence of his title against Thomaz Bellucci. Sixth seed Kei Nishikori plays 11th seed Richard Gasquet.
Roger Federer's slow comeback from injury sees him come up against the highly-touted Dominic Thiem.
Yet Federer, who is returning from knee and back complaints, has already confessed he might not be physically able to get onto the court for his match. Should he battle on, he'll find world No 13 Thiem is a rapidly up-and-coming player.
Rafa Nadal, the king of the clay courts, will welcome hot-tempered Nick Kyrgios on Thursday.
The Australian Kyrgios made his name as a teenager in 2014 with a sensational upset over Nadal, who was then the world No 1, at Wimbledon.
That remains their only meeting to date but, last year, Nadal was forced to deny claims he refused to double-up with the maverick Krygios in a charity doubles match.
