Andy Murray will play Jeremy Chardy as he continues the Rome Masters without his departed coach Amelie Mauresmo.

You can see Murray in third-round action on Thursday, live on Sky Sports 5 HD from 11am.

The British No 1 embarked on his campaign in the Italian capital directly after confirming that his two-year spell working with Mauresmo had ended and now finds Chardy in his way.

Murray owns a dominant 7-1 head-to-head record against the world No 32. Their most recent two matches were at last year's Rome Masters and French Open, and Murray won both.

Rafa Nadal, the king of the clay courts, will welcome hot-tempered Nick Kyrgios on Thursday.

The Australian Kyrgios made his name as a teenager in 2014 with a sensational upset over Nadal, who was then the world No 1, at Wimbledon.

That remains their only meeting to date but, last year, Nadal was forced to deny claims he refused to double-up with the maverick Krygios in a charity doubles match.
