Wasps will be bolstered by the return of their England contingent for the visit of Harlequins on Sunday.
Paul Sackey, Danny Cipriani, James Haskell, Tom Rees and Phil Vickery are all eligible to play after being rested over the Christmas period - while Eoin Reddan, Dominic Waldouck and Mark Van Gisbergen also return.
However Tim Payne is rested this weekend as part of the EPS agreement, while Josh Lewsey, Tom Palmer and Joe Worsley are all injured.
And Wasps chief Ian McGeechan wants his side to kick-off 2009 by taking another step towards the play-offs.
"As the first game of the New Year we are keen to make a strong start in front of our home crowd," McGeechan said.
"Facing Harlequins, the inform side, we know this game will be a challenge and we are looking forward to a big test at Adams Park."
Having beaten Wasps 32-10 earlier in the season, Harlequins will be looking for a repeat performance at Adams Park.
Head coach Dean Richards has made a couple of changes to line-up from the side that held Leicester to a 26-26 draw at Twickenham.
Gonzalo Tiesi regains his place in the centres while hooker Chris Brooker gets the nod ahead of Tani Fuga and Aston Croall.
