The Wallabies full-back, who scored a hat-trick of tries in the Waratahs' season-opener against the Perth-based Western Force, maintained his outstanding form in the hosts biggest winning margin over the Reds in the southern hemisphere competition.
Peter Betham and Kurtley Beale also scored tries as New South Wales banked their second four-try bonus point of the campaign.
"It was great to see," said Waratahs captain Michael Hooper. "We had our forwards doing the hard work and our backs looking fantastic."
It was an eventful game for Folau, who spent 10 minutes in the sin-bin, receiving a yellow card for deliberately throwing the ball into touch in the last minute of the opening period.
He crossed the whitewash as early as the second minute and then again in the 25th minute before winger Betham scored a third seven minutes from half-time.
The Reds posted their only score when winger Lachie Turner capitalised on lapse defence to touch down in the right corner.
However, they were on the back foot again when inside centre Beale notched the Waratahs' fourth try six minutes into the second half.
Fly-half Bernard Foley slotted two penalties to complete the rout as the Waratahs remained undefeated after two games.
