England trio released

Jason Robinson, Mark Cueto and Paul Sackey have been released from England's training camp.

England coach Brian Ashton has released Sale duo Jason Robinson and Mark Cueto and Paul Sackey of Wasps from his Six Nations training squad.

The three players were sent back to their clubs after being assessed by England's medical team at the two-day training camp at Twickenham. No replacements will be brought into the squad.

"I have decided Jason, Mark and Paul should continue their rehab and recovery programmes with their clubs. Our medical team will be working closely with the club medics and I will be kept fully informed of their progress," Ashton explained.

Leicester's Louis Deacon, Phil Vickery of Wasps and Sale's Magnus Lund will take no part in training on Tuesday as they rest minor injuries.

Northampton hooker Steve Thompson and Bristol scrum-half Shaun Perry will play a limited role in training because of their respective neck and rib problems.
