Scarlets maintained their good start to the new RaboDirect Pro12 season with an 18-13 win over Glasgow at the revamped Scotstoun Stadium.
The visitors managed to take the rare scoring opportunities that came along in a below-par contest, Aaron Shingler, Andy Fenby and George North grabbing tries.
Glasgow are still left looking for their first win but did at least gain their first point in a losing cause.
The home side's points came from two penalties in the first half from Ruaridh Jackson and a try near the end from Chris Cusiter, converted by Duncan Weir.
Poor place kicking
Scarlets led 10-6 at the end of a first half which was notable for the poor place kicking from both sides - Rhys Priestland failed with his first shot inside two minutes and would go on to miss another penalty and two conversions.
Jackson put Glasgow ahead with a simple effort and the game settled to a midfield slog before flanker Shingler grabbed the opening try.
Four minutes later Shingler turned from hero to villain when he was sent to the sin-bin for a high tackle, although Jackson was unable to make the most of the penalty chance.
Further lost Glasgow possession in the Scarlets half set up a 38th minute foot race to the home line after Jon Davies kicked the ball deep into Glasgow territory, with Fenby the winner.
However, there was still time for Jackson to at last notch a penalty success. it wasn't enough to keep him on, though, as he was replaced by Weir.
Priestland kicked a 46th minute penalty and 12 minutes later swift handling by the Scarlets backs finished with winger North touching down.
Glasgow threw everything into the closing stages and were rewarded with a late Cusiter try that was converted - but that was the extent of the comeback.
