Crusaders v Sharks: Teams

The Crusaders and the Sharks have announced their teams for their Super Rugby day out at Twickenham on Sunday.

Zac Guilford is the big inclusion for the Crusaders and comes in for Adam Whitelock.

Wing Guildford came off the bench in the second half against the Highlanders at Carisbrook last weekend after recovering from a hamstring injury, while loosehead prop Wyatt Crockett also comes into the side and replaces Ben Franks.

Crusaders head coach Todd Blackadder said his team were looking forward to the challenge of the unprecedented match in England's capital.

"We have trained well here in London all week and now we want to replicate that against the Sharks at Twickenham on Sunday," said Blackadder.

"It will be a big test for us, but I'm confident we can put in a performance to be proud of. We're looking forward to playing in front of a big crowd - the atmosphere and sense of occasion should be superb."

Encouraging

Sharks head coach John Plumtree has made only one change to his line-up, with Jacques-Louis Potgieter replacing Patrick Lambie at fly-half.

Lambie, who has been the Sharks' star performer so far this season, was ruled out of the contest after picking up a finger injury against the Chiefs last week.

There is more encouraging news as South Africa wing JP Pietersen is named as a replacement, while Eugene van Staden and Gerhard Mostert also come in for Craig Burden and Anton Bresler on the bench.

The contest is taking place at the home of English rugby after the Crusaders made a request to help raise funds following the earthquake in Christchurch in February which caused damage to their Lancaster Park Stadium.
