St Helens romped to a resounding 70-0 win over Featherstone in the Challenge Cup fifth round.
The Saints were without 11 first team players but they were given a competitive game by the Championship title-chasers.
Warren Thompson was handed his debut and he marked the occasion with a try which was converted by Jamie Foster, as he crowned a man-of-the-match display with 11 goals from 12 attempts.
Lead
The Saints duly took the lead after 11 minutes when a suspiciously offside-looking Francis Meli latched onto Jon Wilkin's grubber, with Foster converting.
Saints missed a chance to extend their lead with a poor pass from Meli to Paul Wellens, with Matty Ashurst held up over the line.
Rampaging forward Thompson battered a way through the Rovers defence after 25 minutes and again Foster was on hand to convert.
Wellens made it 18-0 five minutes before the break after he collected Nathan Ashe's pass from James Roby's thrilling break.
Efforts
Featherstone efforts were almost rewarded but Bryn Powell and Mufaro Mvududu could not make the best of their opportunities.
James Graham scored immediately after the restart as Foster added his conversion before Ashe got on the scoresheet to give them a 30-0 lead after 51 minutes.
England centre Michael Shenton scored with a fine solo effort before Matty Ashurst got in on the act and Tom Makinson managed two tries in as many minutes.
Sol Soliola forced his way over for Saints 10th try eight minutes from time, and there was still time for Shenton and Tom Armstrong to add further touchdowns.
