Committee recommend one-match ban
Leeds prop Kylie Leuluai is set to miss Samoa's crunch World Cup clash with Ireland in Parramatta due to a one-match ban.
Leuluai was placed on report for a high tackle on Fetuli Talanoa during the Samoans' 20-12 pool C win over Tonga at Penrith on Friday.
The World Cup match committee of Greg McCallum, Ron Massey and Mark O'Neill have charged Leuluai with a careless high tackle - and recommended a one-match ban.
He has until 5pm on Tuesday to accept the penalty or ask for a hearing, which would take place just before kick-off on Wednesday.
Hull KR front-row Makali Aizue is also facing a one-match ban which would rule him out of Papua New Guinea's final group game with Australia in Townsville on Sunday.
Aizue has been charged with a grapple tackle on New Zealand winger Sam Perrett in the opening minute of last Saturday's 48-6 defeat by the Kiwis on the Gold Coast.
Tonga hooker Tevita Leo Latu, of Wakefield, was issued with a caution for a grapple tackle in the game against Samoa.
