Castleford will not retain loose forward

Steve Snitch will become the seventh player to leave Castleford at the end of the season after the club opted against extending his stay. The former Wakefield and Huddersfield man is expected to move to Australia with his family where he will continue his career. The 28-year-old joins the likes of Paul Jackson, Stuart Jones and Joe Arundel in leaving the Tigers while Danny Orr, Ryan Hudson and Nick Youngquest are retiring. Castleford end their home Super League programme on Sunday when the high-flying Catalan Dragons visit the PROBIZ Coliseum. "I've worked it out that there will be 14 players who have played first grade this season who won't be here next year," said coach Ian Millward, who has so far recruited Michael Shenton, Jake Webster, Lee Gilmour, Jordan Tansey and Justin Carney for 2013. Millward's Tigers are joint-bottom of England's top flight with 12 points from their 25 games.
