Wigan scrum-half to miss play-off clash with Hull KR

Wigan scrum-half Paul Deacon has been ruled out of the elimination semi-final against Hull KR on Friday. The former Bradford player suffered a groin injury in his side's 27-26 defeat to Leeds in the first round of the engage Super League play-offs on Sunday. And although the Warriors were hopeful he would shake off the problem during the week, Deacon has not recovered in time to play in the clash with Rovers at the DW Stadium. He is replaced in coach Michael Maguire's 19-man squad by Amos Roberts, meaning makeshift full-back Sam Tomkins could move back to stand-off. Prop Iafeta Paleaaesina is named in the squad after missing the contest with Leeds. Hull KR are set to be unchanged after their derby victory over Hull FC, with forward Liam Watts their only slight doubt with a knee injury.
