Australian turned down offer of a new contract

Versatile back Shad Royston is to leave Bradford after just one season in Super League, the club have confirmed. The 29-year-old Australian, who joined the Bulls from Halifax, has turned down the offer of a new contract. "We offered Shad a new, improved contract, but he has indicated to us that he wishes to move on at the end of the season," said Bradford football manager Stuart Duffy. "We'd like to thank him for his services to the club and we wish him every success for the future." Royston, who has scored nine tries in 16 Super League appearances, is expected to join French side Pia.
