Wigan general manager Kris Radlinski has been promoted to a position on the club's board of directors, the Warriors have announced.

Radlinski, the former Wigan and Great Britain full-back, will join chairman Ian Lenagan and non-executive director Winston Higham on the board.

Radlinksi, 38, who scored 183 tries in 322 appearances for Wigan between 1993 and 2006, has been a key member of the backroom team in his role of general manager since 2010.

Lenagan said: "Shaun Wane and I are very well aware of how Kris has come on in the last five years from being a full-back to the prop that holds up Wigan in many respects and I am delighted to have him with us."
