On-loan Wakefield winger Dave Halley is hoping to extend his stay at the Wildcats. Halley is due to return to Bradford after Friday's engage Super League clash with Warrington. However the 22-year-old is hoping to agree a new deal with coach John Kear after impressing during his month-long stint at the club. "I'd love to stay here. I've enjoyed every minute of it and it's gone really well," said Halley, who scored twice in Wakefield's season-opening win over Wigan. "I'm here for the game against Warrington then I don't know what is happening after that. I'll sit down with John and see what happens." The news will come as boost for Wakefield, who have seen Scott Grix join a mounting injury list at the club. Danny Brough, Sam Obst, Jamie Rooney, Tevita Leo-Latu, Danny Sculthorpe and Richard Moore have all been out of action this season.
