Former player to take up new role in Dubai
St Helens fitness coach Apollo Perelini will join head coach Daniel Anderson on the way out of Knowsley Road after Sunday's Grand Final.
Perelini, who made 193 appearances for Saints after joining them in 1994 from New Zealand rugby union, has taken up a position with an elite sporting academy in Dubai.
After a brief stint with Sale he returned as head of strength and conditioning five years ago and has been credited with much of their success in recent times.
"I am really sad to be leaving St Helens and the most successful club in Super League," he said.
"I have made the decision for the future of my family as opportunities like this do not come around often. I am looking forward to taking the chance with both hands."
Meanwhile, Saints prop forward Sam Thompson has agreed to join National League One side Widnes on a two-year contract.
The 21-year-old has made six substitute appearances for Saints this year but is not in the squad for Saturday's Grand Final.
"I'm very pleased to be signing for Widnes," he said. "It's a great club that's going places. It's a really big challenge for me and I can't wait to get started."
