Brisbane Broncos centre Jack Reed has been ruled out of England's autumn internationals through injury for the fourth successive year.
The 26-year-old will have surgery next week on the shoulder he dislocated twice in the Broncos' National Rugby League Grand Final defeat to North Queensland Cowboys on Sunday.
Reed, who was born in Silsden, England but raised in Queensland, Australia, made his England debut against France four years ago and played in the final of the 2011 Four Nations series against Australia at Elland Road.
But he has not played for his country since after suffering similar shoulder injuries in each of the last four seasons and was forced to sit out the 2013 World Cup.
England head coach Steve McNamara said: "Jack requires shoulder surgery. It's terrible luck for him."

The loss of Reed is the second body blow for England ahead of the three-match Test series against New Zealand, after South Sydney prop George Burgess pulled out to undergo hip surgery.
McNamara, the Sydney Roosters assistant coach who is due to fly in from Australia in time for Saturday's Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, will announce his 24-man squad for the one-off Test against France and the series with the Kiwis this Sunday.
Reed has four caps for England in total and has also played for the NRL All Stars team.
