Leeds bounced back from their Wembley disappointment with a clinical demolition of Wakefield at Headingley.
Winger Ryan Hall scored a hat-trick for the Rhinos, passing a century of tries for his club in the process.
He crossed for the third-minute opener - his 100th club try - touched down again four minutes before the break and completed his treble with 13 minutes remaining
Ben Jones-Bishop, Carl Ablett, Danny McGuire (two), Ali Lauitiiti, Danny Buderus, Jamie Peacock and Lee Smith also went over as the Rhinos ran in 11 tries in all.
The first arrived after a slick handling move, the ball passing through the hands of Weller Hauraki, Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Ablett before Hall finished clinically in the left corner.
Skipper Kevin Sinfield added the first of his 10 conversions and the Rhinos extended their lead in the 14th minute when McGuire's exquisite long pass found Jones-Bishop, who still had plenty to do before touching down.
Three minutes later, Leeds struck again when more fine handling saw Buderus and McGuire combine to send Ablett over from close range.
The defending from the Wildcats left much to be desired yet the visitors hit back with a score of their own in the 20th minute.
Delightful
Semi Tadulala slipped a delightful short pass into the path of Ryan Tongia and the wing scuttled clear down the left flank to score.
Gareth Moore's conversion attempt was wide and McGuire scored a fine individual effort in the 25th minute when he exchanged passes with Smith and glided through what passed for the Wakefield defence.
Sinfield failed to add the extras but four minutes before the break Hall scored his 101st try in Leeds colours when he finished off a brilliant flowing move involving Smith, Lauitiiti and McGuire.
Sinfield converted before replacement Leeds hooker Paul McShane was sinbinned, but five minutes after the break McGuire supplied Lauitiiti - who will play for Wakefield next season - with a fine pass and the powerful forward crashed over for Leeds' sixth try.
The conversion was added by Sinfield but Wakefield hit back with two quickfire scores from Josh Veivers and Motu Tony.
Moore added the extras to Tony's touchdown before Leeds conjured another classy score, as Jay Pitts broke clear and Sinfield unselfishly ushered Buderus over.
Hall then completed his treble with another neat finish and McGuire grabbed his second after more good work from Lauitiiti.
There was still time for Peacock to crash over from close range and then Smith capitalised on more woeful Wakefield defending to take Leeds' try count to 11.
Wakefield had the final say with a try from Leeds loanee Kyle Amor, but this was a night to boost the Rhinos' confidence as the play-offs approach.
