Leeds beat Hull FC 46-30 at Headingley on Sunday in a match that also acted as a dress rehearsal for next weekend's Challenge Cup fourth-round meeting.
The Rhinos earned their second straight Super League win at Headingley after tries from Keith Senior and Ryan Hall (2) had handed them early control.
Tom Briscoe scored twice in three minutes to get Hull back in the game, before completing his hat-trick just five minutes into the second half and adding a fourth at the death.
However, the Rhinos dominated in between times by running in a further five converted tries.
Their first came after five minutes when a long pass from Rob Burrow found Brent Webb before the full-back's superb offload found Senior to race over in the corner.
Inspiration
Captain Kevin Sinfield added the extras and also provided inspiration for Leeds' second in the 18th minute, his pass finding Burrow, who checked in the middle of the park before finding Hall, who fended off Richard Whiting before crossing.
Sinfield again converted, with Leeds' third try coming seven minutes later as a result of another free-flowing move.
Danny McGuire and Burrow provided neat passes down the middle before the latter threw the ball out wide to Senior, who in turn found Hall to dive over.
Sinfield this time missed the target and the Black and Whites hit back with a try in the 29th minute that came against the run of play.
Kirk Yeaman broke and drew in Webb before finding the supporting Briscoe on his left.
Richard Whiting converted, but he failed to do so four minutes later when Briscoe crossed for his second after Yeaman had this time drawn in Lee Smith before finding the wing.
Briscoe's hat-trick came after a pass from Danny Buderus to McGuire went to ground - the resulting set ending with Jordan Tansey's pass sending him clear down the left flank.
Superiority
However, Leeds assumed superiority once more in the 49th minute when Ali Lauitiiti scored a converted try after Hull had been penalised for holding Burrow down 40 metres out.
McGuire went close on the right and after Senior switched direction, Lauitiiti crashed over despite the close attentions of three defenders.
Senior then scored his second after slicing through the Hull defence before swapping passes with Webb in support.
Hall raced clear on the left after Craig Hall's failed interception and fed Burrow on the inside for yet another score just before the hour.
And Jamie Jones-Buchanan got himself on the scoresheet in the 65th minute after Kylie Leuluai had won the ball back for Leeds and drove towards the line.
Leeds therefore had the game won, although Craig Hall, Briscoe and Jordan Turner all scored consolation tries for the visitors in the closing minutes.
