Two tries in the final four minutes saw the Wigan Warriors cap a sparkling late comeback as they turned a 19-8 deficit into a 20-19 victory at Huddersfield.
When Kevin Brown sent over a 74th-minute drop-goal it looked to be the gloss on a solid Giants performance as they led 19-8 with just six minutes left to play at the Galpharm.
However, the Warriors were not done just yet and Andy Coley and George Carmont both went over in the closing four minutes and the two successful conversions from Pat Richards gave Wigan the improbably win.
Luke Robinson and Kevin Brown has both earlier crossed the whitewash for Huddersfield as they built up a sizeable lead, with Darrell Goulding scoring Wigan's first try.
Leroy Cudjoe kicked five goals on his debut to Richards' two and Brown's drop-goal saw the lead stand at 11 points as time was ticking away, only for the late rally from Wigan to stun the hosts enabling Richards to win the match with his late conversion.
Half-backs
Former Wigan half-backs Robinson and Brown combined with the latter being set up buy the former for the opening try of the match on 25 minutes.
Brown found the gap and supplied Robinson and fend off a couple of Wigan tacklers before touching down his sixth try of the season.
Goulding helped draw Wigan level when he grabbed his try courtesy of Mark Calderwood palming back Trent Barrett's high kick into the corner.
Brown then tricked his way over the line to put Huddersfield back in front just after the interval, and Cudjoe added the conversion and two more penalties as Wigan's discipline slipped.
Teenager Cudjoe performed brilliantly when coming in at full-back for his debut in place of the injured Chris Thorman - and he was flawless with the boot with five kicks out of five.
Wigan pressed with Calderwood and Liam Colborn both coming close to scoring tries but instead Huddersfield got another point with Brown's late drop-goal looking like sealing the win seven minutes from the end.
Late rally
Wigan skipper Sean O'Loughlin burst through the Giants defence to send prop Coley over to give his side a glimmer of hope with four minutes left on the clock.
A shell-shocked Huddersfield then could not stop Carmont as he powered his way over wide out, leaving Richards to kick over a tricky conversion to seal a dramatic victory for Brian Noble's men.
Huddersfield's misery was compounded when prop Darrell Griffin was sent off after the final whistle for dissent.
