Two tries in each half gave Huddersfield a comfortable 20-10 victory over Hull FC in Sunday's Engage Super League clash.
Giants raced into a 10-0 lead courtesy of two David Hodgson tries before Hull hit back with scores either side of the interval.
But tries by Michael Lawrence and Kevin Brown ensured the hosts took the points and pile further pressure on under-fire Hull boss Richard Agar.
Hodgson pounced on Danny Brough's pass that bounced off Hull's Sam Obst to give Giants a fourth minute lead.
Six minutes later a defence-splitting kick from Brough proved perfect for the on-rushing Hodgson, while the stand-off converted for the only time in the match.
Hull were placed under continued pressure but the Giants were unable to make it count and the visitors clawed their way back into it, Richard Whiting setting up Jordan Turner on 29 minutes.
And Whiting once again played a central part in their second try five minutes into the second half, sending Will Sharp over with Danny Tickle converting.
At 10-10 there was everything to play for but Lawrence danced through the Hull defence for a tremendous solo try on 62 minutes.
And when Brough set up Brown for the fourth try six minutes from time the victory was assured.
