Leroy Cudjoe grabbed two tries and created another as Huddersfield claimed a dominant 40-18 win over Castleford at their temporary home in Halifax.
The Giants did not seem to be affected as they played the first of three matches at the Shay, which they are using while the Galpharm Stadium in being resurfaced.
Eorl Crabtree, David Hodgson, Lee Gilmour, Jermaine McGillvary and David Fa'alogo also crossed the try-line, while Richard Owen scored twice and Danny Orr also touched down for the outmatched Tigers.
The result moves the Giants back level on points with Warrington at the top of the engage Super League table.
The hosts had to wait longer than expected to get started, though, as a kit mix-up led to both teams with all white strips.
The Tigers were eventually given Halifax's blue and white outfit to wear and when the match did kick-off 25 minutes later than planned, it sparked quickly sparked into life.
Cudjoe gave the Giants the lead inside four minutes with a converted try after taking the final pass from Scott Grix.
Owen finished off a flowing move involving Rangy Chase and Orr to provide a quick reply for Castleford and register his sixth try of the season.
Tries
Halifax-born Luke Robinson, making his 100th Giants appearance, then created two converted tries to put them 18-6 up at the half-time break.
He first set up Crabtree on 25 minutes before selling a brilliant dummy to romp clear seven minutes later, eventually playing in Cudjoe for his second of the match. Danny Brough added the extras for all three scores.
Huddersfield turned the screw even more in the second half, with Hodgson bagging his sixth try in five games after taking a Cudjoe pass just after the restart.
Robinson was again the provider for a Gilmour try on 51 minutes. The chance was created by Brough's expert 40-20 kick and the scrum-half also added the conversion.
However, Brough would later be carried off with a suspected ankle injury, leaving him a doubt for England's clash against the Exiles at Headingley on Friday.
The Giants had their numbers reduced to 12 after 55 minutes when McGillvary was sin-binned for kicking the ball away.
Orr and Owen produced late replies for Castleford but the Giants had the last word with late tries from McGillvary and Fa'alogo.
