Velocitas has shown enough to warrant support ahead of the likes of Field Spark, Bank On Him and Mr Midasman. Velocitas is still a maiden but has coped well with this surface on his two visits so far, finishing second to decent animals in the shape of Boppys Princess and Semelle De Vent. On breeding there has to be a slight doubt about him getting a mile and a half at pace, but other than that he has every chance of breaking his duck. Field Spark does get the trip and since being fitted with cheekpieces, has looked much more resolute. He is not badly handicapped and should go well. Bank On Him has topweight to overcome and an absence to boot but will be well placed by his astute trainer, that is for sure, while Mr Midasman, one of the younger brigade here, is closely matched with the selection on recent running here. Without being too confident, we return to Velocitas who can open his account at last.
