Caliban would have an obvious chance if taking up this engagement but must be considered a doubtful runner following his run yesterday and a safer bet may be Jacks Craic, who is preferred to Tighe Caster. The last mentioned showed improved form when opening his account at Huntingdon last month and has to be respected first time in a handicap off what looks a fair mark. Misbehaviour has more to do off a 7lb higher mark than when successful at Plumpton last time and of more interest may be Martin Pipe's Honan, who had shown promise in similar grade prior to disappointing efforts in his last two starts. A reproduction of earlier form off his lightweight would see the son of College Chapel go close. Gary Moore's runners here always warrant respect so his representatives Shaman and Space Cowboy cannot be discounted but preference is for Jacks Craic. John Spearing's gelding opened his account in good fashion at Folkestone last month and lost no caste in defeat at Hereford last time. Set to go up lbs in future handicaps, the six-year-old is potentially well treated and is taken to make the most of his favourable mark.
