In depth

Verdict

Diamond Hurricane, Juan Bol, and Everymanforhimself are the three to consider here and preference is for Diamond Hurricane. Everymanforhimself was an inexpensive purchase and was not overfaced for his debut, but won a small maiden at Beverley despite running green. Although the form may not amount to much, it's worth noting that he wasn't unfancied, and as he is liable to come on for the run, he will go close. Having been well beaten on his debut at Yarmouth, Juan Bol improved enough to take a little Kempton maiden in taking style, staying on well in the closing stages. Diamond Hurricane looks the one they have to beat. He stayed on well in the closing stages on his Thirsk debut, and that promise was fulfilled on his next run at Catterick, where he showed tenacity to hold on. His form looks a cut above his opponents and he can follow up.
