A similar contest at Doncaster last month could hold the key to the outcome of what, on paper, looks a trappy contest with Asia Winds taken to reverse running on Town Moor with Ticker Tape and Mrs Moh. The last two mentioned filled the first two places that day with the selection five lengths adrift of the winner in fifth place. However, the Barry Hills-trained colt raced on the unfavourable far side that day and now meets his conquerors on 8lb better terms. With the stable's juveniles continuing in good form, he is worth a bet despite the burden of 9st 7lb. David Loder's Varnay, a length further back at Doncaster seems held on running there and a bigger threat may come from Snow Goose. John Dunlop's has his two-year-olds in fine form at present and the recent Redcar winner should be suited by the stiff seven furlongs here. Sanbonah, representing the stable of Neville Callaghan has similar claims, while Mick Channon's runners in these contests are always worth a second look so Black Oval has to be respected.
