Verdict
COSMOPOLITAN looks well handicapped here and can beat her own sex on her debut in this sphere, while Elysee Palace and Granary are others for the short list. The selection has been kept at home since May when making a winning debut on soft ground at Goodwood over a mile. The form of that race has worked out well and we would conservatively estimate that she is probably 6lb well in here, which does not take account of the likely improvement to come. The yard is in cracking form and there is every chance she can win this. Elysee Palace is a decent performer in this sort of contest, though may not be quite at home on the ground and her rating looks just a bit too stiff for now. Granary loves to get her toe in and was the easy winner of a 7f Folkestone handicap last time. A 10lb rise and ground that is not quite so testing will make this tougher, but she is very much respected. Danae is interesting now that the ground has slowed up. She has already won on good and if her sire is anything go to by she should love this more testing surface, so don't dismiss this improving sort. Victoria Reel handles cut and has her optimum trip here so with some solid form she can get involved, but we'll take Cosmopolitan to score.
