Cocoon's only victory to date came when dead-heating on good ground a year ago but he's been performing well in much softer conditions and three-year-olds have a good record in this. Stronger Than Me hasn't run since June when beaten over three lengths by Long Journey Home but the latter hasn't been in the best of form subsequently and was behind The Fox Tully over the track and trip last month, as were Cheval Rouge, the lightly-raced Monolight and To Choose. Gerard Keane's charge is in the veteran stage and hasn't won for over three years so it's Monolight who may come out best of those who ran in that race. THE NUTCRACKER (NAP) had shown massive improvement over hurdles this summer before reverting to the Flat on the mark of a plater over this course and distance. Not surprisingly she was well supported and could hardly have been more impressive and though the assessor has hit her with a huge 15lb rise she should still prove herself better than a 62-rated handicapper.
