Just six runners contest this tricky novice chase and it appears to rest between Persian Waters,Tribal Venture, Daretobedifferent and Too Forward, we will take a chance on the last named. Mark Pitman's nine-year-old gained a deserved victory at Folkestone last time, sprinting away from his rivals in the closing stages. This former smart hurdler appears to have fully recovered from his leg problems and he can land this before heading for the Cheltenham Festival. Persian Waters made an impressive chasing debut at Huntingdon when beating Liverpool Echo and he wasn't disgraced next time when third behind Control Man in a class B event at Cheltenham. He will be better on this flatter course and looks a big threat to the selection. Daretobedifferent had shown very little over hurdles, but took well to the larger obstacles when beating the Paul Nichols trained Were In Touch at Wincanton last time. he can only improve on that effort and should be in the shake up. Tribal Venture unseated his rider at Newcastle last time but had previously jumped well when in the places behind some decent types. You can forget the other two runners, but it is a tough call between the four market rivals and Too Forward just gets the vote.
