A weak race in which Surricate is preferred to Verstone and Filey Flyer. Surricate ran an eyecatcher in defeat on her latest start and with Ferdy Murphy's string looking to be plenty forward in their work, it would be no surprise to see her starting off as favourite for his mares only prize. Verstone is plenty exposed but the selling plater did win a non-seller on her most recent start. She could find it difficult to conceed a winners penalty on this occasion. Filey Flyer might be suited by this course as she seemed to need a test of stamina and the hills of Hexham will certainly provide that. Madam Killeshandra is from a family that include the multiple Hunter Chase victor, Earthmover, so three moderate runs in bumpers should not disqualify her from the equation. Jump To It is watched in the market as she hails from a yard that have a fair strike rate at the course. Alina Rheinberg had form on soft ground in Germany and is noted if the subject of support in the market. Surricate gets the nod.
