In depth

Verdict

A tough race to call but from a shortlist of Three Lions, Jim Bobs Girl and Annie Fleetwood, it is the last-named who receives the nomination. A recent winner at Fontwell, the ten-year-old mare was recording her first success over fences from eight attempts. She was well-backed and jumped well when recording a seven length success and he can defy top-weight today. September Moon has been holding his form well, whilst the same applies to Three Lions but he has been keeping poor company over hurdles of late. Sea Wall needs respect as his recent race was an improved effort, whilst Galaxia also stepped up on recent efforts when winning at Uttoxeter. Jim Bob's Girl needs respect, especially if the money comes as she comes here in good form, however it is Annie Fleetwood who is taken to continue in the winning vein.
