Not an easy race to assess, but we will side with Businessmoney Jake to see off Rosetown, Saucy Night and English Jim. The selection did the nicely at Plumpton last time, and looks open to improvement, and also big enough to lug this hefty weight around on soft ground. This trip should hold no fears, and he is suggested in a race where there isn't much in the way of class on show. Rosetown can also go well carrying top weight. Tom George's gelding will handle conditions and stays well, as evidenced last time out at Towcester. It is debatable how much there is left as far as improvement is concerned and he may just find that the handicapper has him this time. Saucy Night was a scorer at Plumpton in October, but failed to follow up and it is hard to see him doing so now he has gone up in the weights, while English Jim's course and distance win last time was in a poor contest, though a rise of 5lb means that he probably still has the ability to make some impression is he has gained in confidence. But Businessmoney Jake looks set for more improvement and can take the finale.
