In depth

Verdict

Forest Dante is on a favourable mark at present and he can return to the winner's enclosure with Mexican, Arctic Cherry and Good Outlook others to short list. The selection loves it here, here he has won over a range of trips and on differing ground. He does have a particular penchant for decent ground, however, and with that in mind and his current mark being a fair one of 94, we think he can recapture winning form. Mexican was a winner last time over two miles here, for which he has gone up 10lb. Things will therefore be nowhere near as easy this time, and he is not certain to get this longer trip, so he is passed over. Arctic Cherry was stuck in the Sedgefield mud last time, but this better ground will suit and he has a better chance of staying as a result, though needs to improve. Good Outlook is 8lb better off with Mexican for a 15 length beating here last time, but is guaranteed to get this trip and may even be capable of reversing the placings taking that into account. However, Forest Dante loves it here and can chalk up another course win.
