Verdict
A poor opener where YEADON gets the vote ahead of Colepeper and So Bazaar. Richard Fahey's Fraam colt had four attempts in maidens before going close in a Wolverhampton claimer last time. Fast ground suits, as does this six furlong trip, and if he produces his running as a consistent sort then it should be good enough. Colepeper has raced only on soft ground thus far, and this is clearly much quicker. Presumably Mark Johnston would not run him if he didn't think he would handle it, especially so early in his career, and dropped back to this trip he should figure prominently. So Bazaar is steadily going the right way and his form in three outings at different trips thus far has been decent in the context of this race. He went close on fast ground at Ayr over this trip on debut and he can be heavily involved. Texas Queen went close over 7f at Lingfield earlier in the month and she is another who can make her presence felt if reproducing or improving on that form. Little else appeals and Yeadon gets the vote.
