Star Beat and Work Boy figure prominently on the short-list but we're going to take a chance with I SEE A STAR. The selection's current connections may well have hoped that they had done as they purchased him following one successful run in an Irish point but he made quite hard work of winning a Hunter Chase on debut for this yard over course and distance and has been well held twice since. He didn't look to be the easiest ride last time and certainly didn't seem to enjoy going right-handed and it's to be hoped that he fares better for professional handling going the other way around. Star Beat has twice run well at the track in similar contests and drops significantly in grade from his most recent outing; if the headgear has the desired effect then he has the form to go close. Work Boy was no match for an impressive winner at Sedgefield but that was a more encouraging performance and this is more his level so so he's worth bearing in mind as is Another Charmer who could leave the form of his recent efforts behind now that he's stepped up in trip. However, most of these have something to prove including I See A Star.
