In depth

Verdict

In the opener, we will side with Turkish Sultan ahead of Zhukow and Stage Flight. Following his promising debut second at Thirsk last time, Tim Easterby's Turkish Sultan looks the one to beat here. In fairness this is a race that lacks strength so Zhukow, who was a fair fourth to Lyrical Sound at Leicester last time over a furlong-shorter trip, and Brian Meehan's Stage Flight, beaten just a head at Brighton last time, could prove to be best of the rest, although inspection of the betting is suggested. Overall, though, we are happy to side with Turkish Sultan.
