Millie Knight and Brett Wild claim first GB Winter Paralympics medal

Millie Knight and guide Brett Wild have won Britain’s first medal of the Winter Paralympics in Pyeongchang.
The reigning world champions claimed silver in the downhill skiing on the opening day of the Games after they finished 0.86 seconds behind defending Paralympic champions Henrieta Farkasova and guide Natalia Subrtova of Slovakia.
Knight, competing at her second Winter Paralympics having taken part as a 15-year-old in Sochi, was delighted to have won a medal alongside Wild, who is competing in his first Games.
"I can't stop smiling. It is the best feeling in the world," Knight told BBC Sport.
"I was quite nervous at the start gate but once we pushed out, it was purely about doing what we had to do and thinking about the technical aspects down the course."
Knight's Great Britain team-mate Menna Fitzpatrick did not fare so well after she crashed in the opening stages.
Fitzpatrick appeared unhurt, however, and skied to the bottom of the course with guide Jen Kehoe.
