British taekwondo star Aaron Cook bounced back from German disappointment two weeks ago to claim gold at the Dutch Open.
Bronze at the German Open a fortnight ago did not sit well with Cook and he responded by getting the better of fellow Briton Lutalo Muhammad in Saturday's semi-finals.
Muhammad had beaten Cook in German at the same stage, and their battle for supremecy at the -80kg category looks set to rumble on.
Cook went on to the final at the Dutch Open and won a thrilling contest 9-8 against Argentina's Sebastian Crismanich.
Londoner Muhammad's impressive run to a bronze medal included an impressive 7-0 win over European silver medallist Nikolaos Tzellos of Greece.
Walkden joy
Liverpool's Bianca Walkden also enjoyed medal success as she made the -67kg final only to go down to the home favourite, Reshmie Oogink, 2-6.
In the Junior competition, Jamie Abley added a superb gold medal to his silver from Germany as he continues his preparations for the upcoming World Junior Championships in Egypt next month.
Dropping only four points throughout his -59kg competition, he accounted for Azerbaijan's Parvin Aliyev in the final to claim his first A Class tournament win.
And in the junior male -55kg competition, Kang Han's Tom Walters (Nottingham) won bronze following a great run to the semi finals where he eventually succumbed to Belgian, Hicham Radi.
Sunday sees GB's Jordan Gayle in action at -63kg with Tony Grisman stepping up to -74kg. In the senior females, Stephanie Allen returns to fight in the -73kg competition.
