The 2012 poster boy out of action after a fractured finger

British gymnast Louis Smith has suffered a fractured finger and could be out for up to a month. The 2008 bronze medallist was in his gym in Huntington training on Tuesday when he was on the high bar and stubbed his finger. He told Sky Sports in an exclusive interview: "I will probably be out for about four weeks, with recovery and getting back into it. "I could be annoyed but it won't get me anywhere and that will make things worse. I need to stay positive and I am confident I will be able to get back to where I need to be, it's only a little fracture." Smith remains confident he will be back on track for success at this year's Games and is not going to let his standards slip during his rehab period. He added: "I'm going to have to train a lot harder, a lot more running around to keep fit so that when I get back to doing gymnastics stuff it is not so much of a hill to climb."
