Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to another one-possession victory - this time over the Carolina Panthers to move to 9-0 in the regular season against the NFC South over the course of his career. Coincidentally Jared Goff is also currently 9-0 against the NFC South.
Mahomes' only career loss to an NFC South team was to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.
The Chicago Bears lost to the Minnesota Vikings in overtime, but Caleb Williams set a franchise rookie record with his 10th touchdown pass, surpassing the previous marks set by Jim McMahon in 1982 and Kyle Orton in 2005. Williams ended his streak of 165 passes without either a touchdown or interception, which was the longest by anyone in NFL history when he connected with DJ Moore for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The Detroit Lions' victory over the Indianapolis Colts was their ninth in a row, their longest winning streak in a season since they won 10 in a row in 1934. They have now scored a rushing touchdown in 25 straight games, extending their own NFL record.

The Dallas Cowboys snapped their five-game losing streak with a win against the Washington Commanders which saw 31 points scored in the last 3:30 of the fourth quarter. CeeDee Lamb broke a tie for the most successive games with at least four receptions in NFL history.
Brandon Aubrey missed two field goals in the first quarter of the game after missing only two in the entire 2023 season; four of his seven career missed field goals have come in games at Washington.
Saquon Barkley's 255 rushing yards for the Philadelphia Eagles against the Los Angeles Rams set a new franchise record and he was just the fourth Eagles player to total at least 200 yards on the ground in a single game.
Barkley became the first player since Maurice Jones-Drew for the Jaguars against the Titans in 2009 to have two rushing touchdowns of at least 70 yards in the same game. He is also the first player to have at least 500 scrimmage yards over two successive games since Walter Payton in 1977.
