Cam Newton of Carolina Panthers wears furry cleats

Another fashion statement from Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton, who donned fox tailed boots in his warm up.
Newton has been known for various fashion trends this season, including top hats and boaters in his weekly press conferences, as well as a variety of different footwear.
However, the 2015 regular season MVP took it to a new level when, before Thursday night's 23-20 win over the New Orleans Saints, Newton went through his pre-game routine in black, white and gold striped cleats, made complete with fox tails hanging from the top of the ankle.
It is not the first time we've seen Newton with fox tail. At a press conference last year, the quarterback stood at the podium with a tail hanging from his belt loop.
According to various reports, the reason for fox tail is that native Americans believe in wearing headdresses from animals to take on their power and utilise their skills.
Foxes are known for their cunning and quick escapes - could the fox tail accessories help Newton to recapture last year's form and provide a late season surge to the play-offs?
