Surrey Storm have announced the capture of New Zealand goalshooter Megan Craig for the 2017 Vitality Superleague season.

Defending champions Storm are chasing a third successive title and following the departure of regular shooter Rachel Dunn have been in the market for an addition under the posts and Craig fits the bill.

The 23-year-old is a former New Zealand basketball international and has played for Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championship but she will now join the Storm squad for the new season, which gets underway next month.

Craig has learnt her trade alongside greats Silver Ferns legends Maria Tutaia and Catherine Tuivaiti and is relishing the opportunity to play in the Superleague.

"I'm very excited to have the opportunity to become a part of the Surrey Storm this season," she said.

"After hearing great things about the team and the club I couldn't be happier to get over there and start getting to work for a great season this year.

"I'm super thankful to head coach Tania Hoffman for giving me this chance to represent Storm and giving our fans the best show of netball yet.

"This year is definitely going to be a fun one and I look forward to meeting the girls on the team and all of our fans!"
