England Roses fell to a comprehensive 20-point defeat to Australian Diamonds in their second Quad Series game, on Wednesday.
Australia's 66-46 victory means that Tracey Neville's England have lost back-to-back outings at the Quad Series, having already tasted a 65-39 defeat to New Zealand.
Caitlin Bassett, the star player in the Diamonds' line-up, netted 46 of her 51 shots - just three points short of her career best. England's Jo Harten scored 28 of her 38 efforts, by contrast, which wasn't enough to prevent Australia claiming victory.
England's latest undoing came largely in the third quarter - they went into half-time trailing 31-25 but that deficit became irrecoverable in the next 15 minutes as Australia turned the screw.
England's final match of the Quad Series will be against South Africa.
